HYDERABAD: The audio tapes containing the conversation between Chandrababu Naidu and Elvis Stephenson, the nominated Anglo-Indian MLA of Telangana have finally been made public. The conversation between them goes as follows: First, a subordinate of Chandrababu talks to Stephenson and tells him that Babu will talk to him. Then Chandrababu’s voice comes on the line:
Stephenson: Good evening Sir
Chandrababu: Good evening brother! How are you?
Stephenson: Fine, thank you Sir
Chandrababu: My people have explained everything to me. I will stand by you. There is no need to worry.
Stephenson: Yes sir, right sir
Chandrababu: I will stand by you for everything. We will deliver on whatever they have promised you.
Stephenson: yes sir, right sir
Chandrababu: Take a decision with a free mind. There is nothing to worry.
Stephenson: Thank you sir
Chandrababu: Thank you
As one can see, there is no way any court of law can find Chandrababu guilty of an offense on the basis of the above conversation. Inferences can only be made, but Babu has nowhere implicated himself in the conversation. A wise, old politician indeed. - See more at:
