Hyderabad: MIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Tuesday slammed AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu saying that nobody in Hyderabad will accept the grant of law and order powers to the Governor.
On Twitter, Mr Owaisi asked Mr Naidu if he would allow the law and order powers in AP to be granted to the Governor. He also said such a move would be unacceptable to the MIM. Mr Naidu didn’t respond to his tweets.
Tweeting directly to Mr Naidu, Mr Owaisi said that the law and order of Hyderabad can’t be handed over to the Governor and even termed it unconstitutional. He wrote, “L&O of Hyderabad cannot be given to Governor under S8 unconstitutional, no one in Hyderabad will accept it not acceptable to MIM”
He also asked the AP CM not to make “obnoxious demands”. The AP government has been seeking the implementation of Section 8 of the Reorganisation Act and grant of law and order powers to Governor.
